SUBMITTING PRODUCT APPROVALS AND
ROYALTY STATEMENTS

Every Licensee with the Foundation must have their products approved before manufacturing and distribution can begin. This is a two stage process that involves the input of the RCMP Foundation and the Intellectual Properties office of the RCMP. The first submission is to sanction the concept you have in mind to produce. An illustration along with a generic sample allows the Licensee to discuss the possibility of producing said product with minimal costs. The Foundation and the RCMP then give permission to proceed to a finished sample to be submitted for final approval. Licensees can choose from the Foundation Image Bank or submit their own photo/illustration for approval along with the Product Approval Form. Frequent contact with the RCMP Foundation office will ensure that all product concepts and submissions are handled in a efficient and timely manner.

Every Licensee with the Foundation must submit sales reports of Licensed RCMP products quarterly. The quarters are as follows, Quarter One January 1st to March 31st, Quarter Two April 1st to June 30th, Quarter Three July 1st to September 30th, Quarter Four October 1st to December 31st. Each Licensee has twenty-five days to have their statement and check delivered to the offices of the RCMP Foundation. The Royalty Statement Form must be completed in full. All Licensees are required to indicate individual sales of each product as well as the price the product was sold for and the royalty associated to that sale. The Foundation will require reporting of which retailers the products where sold. Once the Licensee has submitted their statement, they are required to mail the payment within the allowed time.
